Joint Local Plan

The Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme Joint Local Plan is scheduled to be completed and adopted in 2020.

A statutory part of the plan-making process is the holding of public consultations at various stages as the work proceeds.

Strategic Options Consultation
The two local authorities have now published an updated Strategic Housing Market Assessment (SHMA) and Strategic Options for the Plan.

The consultation on the strategic options will run until 11 August 2017. The documents can be accessed here.

Joint Local Plan Issues consultation
From 15 February to 29 March 2016 there was a Joint Local Plan Issues consultation and members of the public were invited to comment on issues that the two local authorities had identified to be addressed by the Plan.

Open Space Strategy and Green Infrastructure Strategy
